This summer I purchased a shade cloth cover for my greenhouse, both to lower the intensity of the light and to keep the temperature down. This shows detail of the grommets.

It became clear to me by the middle of March that I had neither the time nor the energy to get my whole iris garden weeded, so I decided to hide the weeds under a heavy-duty application of weed barrier.

At the end of March in Virginia, iris rhizomes are emerging from their winter dormancy and begiining to "grren up" and grow. Bloom season here usually begins on or near the first day of May.
